Well, I'm kind of really dreaming of a job there. So time to show some of my visions of what patrick could be in the future. I am planning on doing more for this brand to give a better vision!!

Notice the flying 2 stripes on the side, the Patrick namebadge which interacts more with the laces and not to forget the supportive heel which gives the whole shoe a more ' eyecandy' futuristic feel.

My granddad used to have an old celica when he was still alive! He did not get all these japanese names back than so he called his car all the time toyotica! I have to say I am not the biggest fan of toyota and lexus, but that latest pink purpleish toyota reminded me of the nissan gtr! So it was time to use this surface language as well once. I think the middle one works best of the three. ( And as you can see, I did not do a celica, I did something more golf, megane based) !

I decided to give this sketch the dakar outfit because I have scale model of Ari's 205 dakar car! Furthermore I found out that he is also a canditate for the FIA! So it is a bit of a tribute to him and the amazing car of 1987!! ( Ok, I named it 108, cause I found it too small to pass for a 208!!)

Not your everyday kinda Porsche: A speedy proportion to make it look speedy (obvious!) //High up nose for pedestrian safety // Negative nose similar to BMW to give a hint of aggresiveness // Graphic cut combined with the direction indicator on the side to break up the surface and make it look more interesting (thank u BMW!) // Traditional elements like the headlights, bonnet and the huge spoiler at the back ( so people would believe it is actually a porsche) // And finally no exhaust pipes because the whole thing is electrical of course ( that is why I do not have to show u da back!) // //

Yeps!! I am jobless again!! I was working in an industrial design studio in Antwerp, but unfortunately they had to fire me cause there were not enough projects at the present time! So, it's back to jobhunting again for me !!! Yea yea, we could blame crisis but I tend to look at this positive! It is time for me to move on and search a new adventure!!

So, to everyone reading this: If you got a job for me in ID, shoe design or transportation design, dont hesitate to contact me! And yes, I am willing to relocate myself!!

Well, I have been busy recently, and since I come home from work quiet late, there is not that much sketching going on here! I'd like to share this sketch with you, although it certainly is not the best sketch ever. But it sure has something to it!! I think a mini is a lot about details and branding; so I kept the overal proportions ( kind of) and i focused a bit on details, like the taillights and the floating roof wich blends into a wide strong c pilar! It is like a compact suv, so the oversized c pilar gives it a bit more of a rigid feeling!

And of course not to forget, the luggage on the roof, for emotional travelling. The spirit of mini, it is all about the branding experience!

Hello to all of you, it has been a while since I posted something on here, but lucky I found a bit of time to do a quick newyearssketch! First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy New Year and I hope you all had a nice Christmas as well! Let' s hope the new year brings lots of nice things along for everyone!!

Secondly I'd like to mention that I am now working as an industrial designer due to the crisis, so thank you Mr. Bush ( where's my shoe here?? Hahaaaa!) Well, I have to say, I am enjoying the job although it is hard work, so this is also a reason why there are not that many sketches appearing anymore! A little style exercise, I got carried away by all these gundam robots and graffitiguru's. And yes, that is a way too long dashboard which will approximately pierce for 93cm and 14 mm through the exterior ( or something like that!). On the bottom sketch you got an identical story, only this time it are the pedals for the feed. One pedal pierces through the exterior and becomes a direction indicator on the outside!

Something different than your usual breakfast isn't it! Oh, I also added some kind of wings to the seats, to make them look more radical and speedy, as if that dashboardthingy wasn't radical enough yet!

I wanted to create a crossover between a basketballshoe and a crosstrainingshoe here. Kind of crazy formlanguage with almost zero logos on it, to let the form speak for itself. Major contradiction with the ' Miami beach' inspired colors which were a huge hit early nineties!

Still updating the portfolio in the little homecountry called Belgium! Here's another sneaker I sketched, only the red was in my photoshop a lot brighter, but somehow when you put it on the web it gets darker. Anyhow, nothing to worry about!! My goal was to combine a traditional sneaker with a more sophisticated sole and heel. Yea, I know it has been a while since the last post, but here's finally a new one! Had some turbelent weeks here doing nightshifts in a local company, so didn't have time to finish portfolio! Well, the final model all done my myself! No help with alias or anything else! It cost me a lot of time, and still there are tiny things I'd like to change, but overal I am quiet happy, considering the short amount of time we have in school to develop or thesis ( from 10th of march till 14th of july!!! one semester that is! )

Hello, I did these sketches around 3 o'clock in the mourning after I was so bored with my thesis! My eyes were half shut but I think they still look ok! In the end I wanted to draw a motorcycle with a chrash test dummie on it, but it didn't work anymore, so I ended up erasing the motorcycle and the dummie got left behind. And yes of course when it is time to go to bed, you think hey, let's draw a few more of these dummies!! Oh, and not to forget, I ended up calling it Honda crash test Robot!

Yes Belgium once used to have its on car brand, called Minerva! They used to make very very luxurious cars ( that was probably the overkill as well). As you can see they also made army vehicles. ( They borrowed almost everything from landrover for this model.) So here's my little tribute to the Belgian army and to those who have once served the Belgian army. I bet they have some good memories about this car!!

Hello once more! Guess what I did yesterday? I went to buy some tagliatelli yesterday in an Italian supermarket here in Pforzheim. The tagliatelli was almost f#cking wider than the tires on my old starlet! Anyways, made a good pasta out of it yesterday! Once in a while I have to cook you know! I cannot live a whole semester of frozen pizza's can I! Oh, the relation with the sketch? Tagliatelli is flat isn't it, flat to the ground!!

Well, I think I already mentioned that chinese have a different flavor when it comes to food, well here you get a nice photo of it! Bon Apetit!!
These 2 photos where shot at the temples in Hangzhou. I've been collecting the foto albums of everyone yesterday, but i did not have time to check them all out yet.
